Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
This cozy single bedroom offers a unique location in the historical center of downtown Rotterdam. Situated on the third and last floor of a quiet building with no traffic around, it provides a peaceful living environment. The room is filled with natural light and features excellent thermal and sound insulation, making it a comfortable retreat in the bustling city. It is fully furnished, including a single bed with a high-quality mattress, a large wardrobe, a study area with an office table, chair, and lamp, as well as a sitting area with an armchair, tea table, and library shelves. The common sitting area is directly connected to this room, providing additional space for relaxation.
The location is highly convenient, as it is within walking distance to many important points in the city. The best public transport connections are nearby, including metro stations Beurs, Blaak, and City Hall, as well as the Blaak train station. All amenities are easily accessible on foot, including supermarkets, shops, hospitals, shopping centers, bars, and clubs. Distances to local universities are also favorable: Erasmus University is just 5 minutes by metro or a 15-minute bike ride, while Central Station and Codarts are a 10-minute walk away, and the Medical University is 15 minutes on foot. The Willem Art Academy is only 5 minutes away.
The rental terms include a deposit of 2300€, which covers the last month's rent paid in advance. The price is set for a minimum rental term of 6 months. For shorter rental periods, an adjustment of 300€ per month will apply. Registration is not acceptable for short-term rentals, and government city hall taxes are not included in the rent. The Housing Anywhere booking includes the first month's rent, while all further payments, including rent and deposit, should be made directly to the advertiser via bank transfer or cash as agreed. The deposit can be paid in advance via bank transfer or in cash at the moment of check-in, with the same method used for the return of the deposit.
