Netherlands Rental FAQs: Your Questions Answered
Quick answers about how Luntero works, where the listings come from and how to apply for a rental you found here.
What is Luntero, and does it own the rental listings?
Luntero is an independent search and research platform for rental homes in the Netherlands. It brings listings from multiple public sources into one searchable place and adds comparison, map, organization, alert, and research tools. Luntero does not own the properties, act as the landlord or letting agent, or hold a private contact line to listing owners.
Is Luntero free to use?
Yes. You can search listings, use the map, compare homes, read rental resources, create an account, save listings, and use the organizer without a paid plan. Luntero Pro is optional and adds features such as search alerts, Smart Messages, and an ad-free experience. Current options are shown on the Pro plans page.
Are listings and availability updated in real time?
No. Luntero refreshes listings regularly, but a source can change or remove a home between updates. Always open the original source before applying to confirm that the home is still available and that its price, conditions, and deadline have not changed.
How do I apply for a home I found on Luntero?
Open the listing, select its original source, and follow that provider's application process. Luntero does not receive applications, schedule viewings, screen tenants, take deposits, or create rental contracts. Questions about an application must go to the original provider.
Can I list my rental property on Luntero?
Luntero does not currently offer self-service listing submissions. Listings are collected from supported sources. Landlords, agencies, and rental platforms interested in a data or distribution partnership can use the contact page.
Does Luntero verify every listing or guarantee it is legitimate?
No. Luntero checks and structures listing data, but it does not inspect every property, verify every advertiser, or guarantee availability or legitimacy. Confirm the advertiser and address, be cautious with documents and payments, view the home when possible, and never treat the Luntero page alone as proof that an offer is genuine.
