Does the rent cover additional costs like utilities?
The monthly rent usually only covers the property itself. Services such as electricity, water, gas, and internet are often billed separately. Always review the listing or reach out to confirm what’s included.
What paperwork do I need to rent a property?
To submit an application, you’ll typically need a government-issued ID, recent proof of income (or a guarantor’s financial details), and possibly a work or study document. Specific requirements may be outlined in the property details.
How much time does it take to hear back about my application?
Responses to rental applications usually take a few days to a week, but this depends on the landlord’s process and the demand for the property. Be sure to check your email for updates or additional document requests.
Is it possible to adjust the rental price or conditions?
In most cases, landlords set fixed prices and conditions, but it never hurts to ask! Discussing details like longer leases or minor adjustments might be an option depending on the landlord.
What should I do if I have to move out before the lease ends?
If you need to leave early, you might be asked to find someone to take over your lease or pay a fee for breaking the contract. Check your rental agreement for details and talk to your landlord to explore your options.
We are looking for a new female housemate starting from March 1, 2025. Currently, we are five boys aged between 20 and 22 years old, and we're seeking someone around the same age, between 17 and 25 years. In our house, we share the shower and toilet, but everyone has their own kitchen. Additionally, there is a communal space, the living room, which also includes a kitchen. Attached to the room is a reasonably large private rooftop terrace. Through the living room, there is access to the garden.
We are a close-knit but calm friend group who spend a lot of time together. We don't have house nights, but we are always open to having fun together. We are looking for a girl who enjoys her own space and is not overly dependent on us. The available room is €505 per month, excluding utilities. Currently, we are all students, and if you're interested, please send us a message with a photo of yourself, your favorite song, and a brief description of yourself. It doesn't need to be a detailed report.
Current residents include Daan, 22 years old, studying Entrepreneurship & Retail Management (2nd year); Aijolt, 22 years old, studying Creative Crafts (Furniture Maker, 3rd year); Tristan, 22 years old, on a gap year; Jip, 21 years old, studying Communication & Multimedia Design; and Emiel, 21 years old. If you want to learn more about us, check out our YouTube channel: Aantal Jongens. The price is exclusive of additional costs, which include utilities, internet, and other expenses (around €52, subject to change).
In terms of amenities, you will have access to a shared living room, a private kitchen, a shared bathroom, and a shared toilet. Internet is available, and the energy label is A. We currently have male roommates, and unfortunately, no pets are allowed. The ideal tenant would be a single person aged 17 to 25 years, preferably a student or a working student, and ideally someone who speaks Dutch.
